GUIDED GENETIC ALGORITHMS
Nature is searching answers for its existence, we are just tools
Being one of the other person interested in Artificial Intelligence, I am studying various methods that can achieve this, no wonder we are not even near by of what is actual Intelligence. I am writing this article because I am also a (Kind of) philosopher and always raise a question to myself “Why ?”, that always leads to me .. in “ Ah!, don’t know”.
But I found some interesting relations between the the way we are learning AI and AI itself evolved or evolving, Looks like AI involving again in different pattern or in different universal space/dimension or unnatural species to be precise. Ah, don’t know. But there is something I could relate with us, our universe and the start of new universe we are trying to create, this time unnatural (for us at least, maybe not for existing universe) in virtual world.
So, I was working on some genetic algorithm and what I realised in sudden, This was as same, universe tried to generate intelligent generations in start (right term? Is universe willing just to generate more intelligence or is it just survival of fittest?). But in terms of its ultimate goal (That I’ll take later on), finding a species like humans, patterns universe was trying, needed to be updated (I’ll use a fusion of programming and philosophical here as it is more easy for me explain, I am not a good writer though).
So here was my “Guided Genetic Approach”. This approach changed a lot.
Two things happened, First, Instead of just dying to generate more of same species with mutation like divide in more, fit individual started living longer, to generate more of same. Second, Parents started taking care of children, not to take care, but to share the experience that could save time in self evolutions a lot. Obviously, each individual has its own decisions, but this helped in evolution a lot. This pattern generated more fit species. And more and more species tried this pattern. So external information made impact on genes and its crossover, mutation etc. Humm, looks okey. What next ?
This “Guided Genetic Mutation”, was so success that nature started finding more ways to guide new generations, apart from parents. So, that was evolutions of society. What? So, Am I trying to say humans did not created societies but nature did? Yes, because it was helping nature in making more intelligent species. WTF?, Next time I will say TV, newspapers and smartphones was invented by nature to take its guided genetic in more powerful way? Why not ? Well that’s what I will try to say in my next para of this theorem of “Guided Genetic Algorithm”.
What makes it useful. Well, I am a programmer and creates a program to achieve something (or to understand something, that is also achieving). If nature is programming something and this universe is its program, we can study what is being try to do. Strange, but yes, we can do a reverse engineering. But this is not philosophical. This time its scientific. That will help us in understanding universe and nature more. After thinking this way, I was more sure about my another theorem “Systematic Symmetrical Imbalance”. But this time I have reason for this theorem to exist.
To me, it make sense, it's just generations evolving. We love gadgets, it's in our gene (really !!!). Due to various mutations, may be not all children or parents are capable to transferring much of information to get more fit creatures. So nature started finding more ways to guide and share knowledge. And it created televisions, newspapers, television and cars, buses and plans to make more of Guided knowledge sharing and making more cross mutations as a next level of experiment. AM i kidding!!! May be not. Just you need to think, we are driven by nature and somewhere deep in our gene, we are driven by basic instincts. So, whatever we are doing is nature driven. Even, an social campaign, grouping in office or making religious steps or even terrorist attacks.
Wait! Yes we know social groups or making groups in office is all natural but terrorist attacks!. Hell yes, whatever you and me do, is natural, event any unnatural task or create an application on my pc is natural, This makes another theorem to be accurate I was working on “Nothing is unnatural”. Even, a AI program in a virtual PC is natural development by nature. May be it's a start of another dimension.
There is a lot more I did but that again makes us to same point where we already are, ‘Why nature is doing this?” But maybe we have one more way to look at problem now. Is nature involving to find answer about its own existence? And we are just a step in that?
Thinking this way at least help us in more better evolution or control for this time span we are into at least.
Well same already existing science fiction, may be we can create a huge simulator someday to understand how we are evolving and virtual creatures in that application starts thinking same what we are thinking right now. And that makes another assumption, can we be also be in just an instance of such application. But not going into this more.
Back to “Guided Genetic Algorithm”, So what can be best way to create actual AI. we know now Expert systems are definitely not AI. Neural network is just a tool can be used somewhere. Genetic Algorithms we know till now are good but can it be used to create real intelligence with existing resources? Intelligence is not about accuracy always.
So, we can work on now “Guided Genetic Algorithms”. I’ll try to write my new blog very next or just ping me to write how I achieved something very interesting patterns (theories now, but that can be converted to codes easily, and I’ll do that myself next).
